An Elegant Waterfront Wedding at Darby House | Jordan & C.J.

Wedding

Jordan and C.J.’s wedding at Darby House felt effortless in the most beautiful way. The entire day carried this quiet sense of certainty, like every part of their story had always been leading them here.

I still remember first talking with Jordan while I was on a beach vacation. We had to reschedule our consultation because her very first niece was being born that day. Fast forward to the wedding, and that same little girl, now almost one year old, floated down the aisle as flower girl. One of those full circle moments that feels almost too perfect to plan.

Although Jordan and C.J. both grew up locally and attended The Ohio State University, they did not meet until the Memorial Tournament years later. Jordan told me it had to be fate, and honestly, she may be right. They move through life together with so much ease and intention that being around them feels calming.

Their waterfront ceremony at Darby House was unforgettable. As they exchanged vows, a white heron stood quietly behind them near the water. The second they shared their first kiss and guests burst into applause, the bird lifted into the sky. It felt cinematic. Completely unplanned and somehow perfectly timed.

Rain threatened the evening, but held off just long enough for portraits outdoors. Soft skies, still water, and two people completely wrapped up in each other made every frame feel timeless. Every moment of the day was thoughtful, emotional, and impossibly beautiful.
