McKenzie and Jeremy’s wedding day at The Fives felt like the celebration everyone had been waiting for. Their relationship started back in high school while attending different schools, and somehow survived long distance through separate colleges too. By the time their wedding day arrived, there was such a sense of history between them, like every part of their story had slowly led here.
The entire design of the day fit them perfectly. Leigh & Company completely transformed The Fives following McKenzie’s clean black and white palette, and it could not have fit their vibe more. Everything felt modern, timeless, and effortless in a way that never felt overdone.
This wedding caught me emotionally in ways I didn’t expect. Watching McKenzie during her first look with her dad, hearing the laughter with her bridesmaids while everyone got ready, and seeing how present Jeremy was through the entire day, there were so many moments that felt incredibly genuine. I found myself tearing up right alongside everyone else more than once.
The weather was also on our side in the most surprising way. The forecast had called for rain all day long, but instead we got sunshine the entire afternoon. It changed the energy of the day completely and gave us the dreamiest light outside The Fives.
One of the biggest things that shapes a wedding day is the people surrounding the couple, and their bridal party made everything feel easy from the second we arrived. Every once in a while, Cody and I step into a wedding where everyone makes us feel immediately welcomed, like we’ve known them for years too. That was this group entirely. I absolutely loved McKenzie’s girls. They were supportive, fun, calm, and fully invested in making the day special for their friends. By the end of the night, it honestly felt hard to leave them, and I already hope we get to see them all again someday.
McKenzie and Jeremy’s wedding was beautiful for all the obvious reasons, but what I’ll remember most is how loved they are by the people around them. You could feel it in every part of the day.
