Schiller Park Fall Engagement | Amanda + Grant

Amanda and Grant are the kind of couple that just make sense together — the kind of fit that feels easy, natural, and meant to be. They met in law school, and you can tell immediately that their relationship is built on deep friendship and shared purpose. These two have such a calm, grounded energy together, and photographing them felt effortless from the very start.

I absolutely loved Amanda’s cozy fall outfit and how perfectly it complemented the October blooms around us. We had one of those rare golden evenings where the sun peeked out just in time, bathing everything in the softest light. It felt like the perfect setting for these two — a little warmth, a little glow, and a whole lot of joy.

While we wandered and laughed through the session, Amanda told me the story of Grant’s proposal, and it was the sweetest thing. They love to visit the water and skip rocks together — a small ritual that’s become their thing. On one of those quiet days, Grant handed Amanda a few rocks to hold and told her to close her eyes. When she opened them, he was down on one knee. Simple, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect for them.

We’re just about a year away from their wedding day, and I can already tell it’s going to be such a special one. I’m counting down the days until we get to celebrate their next big milestone together!
