The beauty of a destination wedding doesn’t end when the dance floor clears. Katie and Pado’s celebration at Hotel Xcaret Mexico was the perfect reminder of that.
The morning after their wedding, there was no rush to say goodbye or slip back into reality. Instead, Katie and Pado welcomed their closest friends and family for one more unforgettable experience, an all day catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres.
It felt like an extension of everything they had already created, intentional, joy filled, and centered around time together.
Midway through the trip, we anchored for snorkeling, giving everyone the chance to dive in and experience the water up close. We watched giant sea turtles while sipping Piña Coladas.
Once we reached Isla Mujeres, the day unfolded slowly. Guests wandered through the island’s vibrant markets, found their way to quiet stretches of beach, and soaked in those last few hours of sunshine together. No timelines, no expectations, just presence.
That’s what made this weekend so special. It wasn’t just about a single day, but about creating space for connection, from the welcome cocktails to the final boat ride back.
