I’ve had the joy of photographing little Betty and her family since she was born, so every session feels like catching up with old friends. She’s at that perfect age where every leaf and acorn feels like an adventure, and watching her explore is the best reminder of why I love what I do.
We started the session with Grandma and Grandpa — a must whenever everyone’s together. Then, of course, we had to include Pickles, the family dog, who was thrilled to be part of the action (and maybe even stole the spotlight once or twice). Between chasing leaves and giving kisses, Pickles made sure there were plenty of giggles.
We wandered over to the nature center to check out the turtles, bowled a few acorns down the path, and even invented a few new “funny walks” to keep everyone laughing. It was one of those sessions that didn’t feel like posing or planning — just playing, exploring, and documenting this beautiful stage of life for a family I adore.
Highbanks was glowing that day, and so was this sweet family. I can’t wait to look back on these photos years from now and remember this first true day of fall with Betty and her crew.
