Portrait

This session was extra special for me—because it wasn’t just any family session, it was for my own brother and sister in law, and my four beautiful nieces. These are my favorite people in the entire world, and I’ve been trying for years to get them in front of my camera for their annual Christmas gift session. This year, they finally took me up on it, and I couldn’t be happier.

The girls are growing so fast it almost hurts to think about. Every year they seem taller, sillier, more themselves—and I just want to freeze time for a second. That’s the magic of these photos for me: capturing this exact moment in their lives before it slips by.

We spent the afternoon soaking up the crisp fall air, crunching through leaves, and laughing at all the little sister dynamics that make this family so much fun. Between the twirls, the cuddles, and the occasional goofy face, I was reminded why I love photographing families so much—especially my own.

I’ll treasure these photos forever, not just because they’re beautiful, but because they hold my heart.
