Newborn | Sawyer

There is something so special about watching a love story unfold through the seasons of life. Just a few years ago, I had the joy of photographing Sawyer’s parents on their wedding day, and now I had the honor of capturing their newest chapter as a family of three (well—four, if you count their sweet pup who is never far from their side).

Baby Sawyer’s arrival came with quite the story. His dad was across the ocean in Europe, serving as a chaperone, when the call came that it was time. By the grace of perfect timing, he made it home just in time to welcome his son into the world. Now, with everyone together, this family is savoring the quiet moments, finally resting and soaking in the wonder of newborn life.

It feels so fitting that Sawyer’s story already includes a touch of adventure, since he’s been to his very first Ohio State game—something his parents, lifelong OSU and football fans, couldn’t wait to share with him. Wrapped up in love, tradition, and a little scarlet and gray spirit, he is already part of something so much bigger than himself.

As I photographed this sweet newborn session, I couldn’t help but think about the legacy of love that started on their wedding day and has now grown into this beautiful new family. Sawyer, you are already so adored.
