The Ellis in Italian Village Wedding | Holli + Chris

Holli and Chris’s wedding day was the perfect reflection of who they are—joyful, adventurous, and completely in tune with what truly matters to them. Their story began in the most unexpected way: a chance meeting while Holli was on a girls’ trip in Key West. At the time, they lived in different areas, but when the pandemic hit, Holli packed a few bags to visit Chris. That “short trip” turned into her never leaving. She laughed during our first meeting and called it her “sneaky move,” and I couldn’t help but smile at how effortlessly it all worked out for them.

Over the years, they’ve traveled the world together—exploring the Galápagos Islands, Croatia, Portugal, and so many other incredible places. Their love of adventure was something I could feel in every moment of their wedding day. They planned their celebration exactly the way they wanted, skipping the traditional wedding party and opting instead for a casual cocktail hour before the ceremony even began. It set the tone for the whole day—laid-back, full of laughter, and incredibly fun.

Everywhere I turned, there was joy. From the way Chris looked at Holli when she wasn’t watching, to the sound of their friends and family chatting over drinks before the “I do’s,” the day felt like one big, happy gathering. It wasn’t about sticking to tradition—it was about celebrating their love, their way.

As a wedding photographer, I love when couples give themselves permission to throw out the rulebook and create something that’s uniquely them. Holli and Chris did exactly that, and I feel so lucky I got to capture it all.
