What can I say about Rachel and Ian? I was so excited when they first traveled from Washington DC to meet me during their engagement session. Rachel was STUNNING and the way these two carried themselves just made it so easy to photograph them. I knew they had a busy year ahead of them- Rachel was studying to pass the bar exam (and she did!) and they were so busy planning a wedding while living states away.
Their hard work paid off. I’ve never seen such a beautiful bride as Rachel in her Berta gown. She got ready in the Hotel Leveque, and the whole day had a very “Great Gatsby” vibe. But by far, my favorite part of the day was just how Ian looked at her during the ceremony. Just like he was in awe of his wife. We had so much time to just explore the museum together, and they fit perfectly in the setting.
Other notable moments during the reception was the dancing (I love a good conga line) and the multiple times I caught Ian’s sweet Grandma crying as she got to take pictures with all of her grandchildren. It was a beautiful night that we were honored to be a part of.
