Isn’t Leah stunning? I always think that women are the most beautiful when they are expecting. I was so lucky to spend time with Leah and Chase as they prepared to meet their little one last Friday. They are so down to earth and felt like instant friends. It was funny, because every time I would photograph Leah alone, I would turn around and see Chase being so sweet to their dog, Boone. Like, literally playing hide-and-seek with Boone in the trees. It shows what an awesome father he’s going to be.
Little did we know, they didn’t have to wait long to meet their daughter, Finley. Leah was just 36 weeks, and I remember joking with her at the end of our session to make sure her bags were packed, as we unexpectedly had our first daughter at 36 weeks. We drove home from the shoot, and four hours later, Leah was in labor. Imagine my surprise at getting a text message the next morning with the three of them snuggling at the hospital! That will probably be my most memorable maternity shoot ever. I can’t wait to meet Finley soon.
