A Short North Engagement | Teryn and Alton

Teryn and Alton hail from Chicago, so I was so excited to finally meet them in a person for their engagement shoot. We confirmed the day before that the weather was looking good, but wouldn’t you know, a freak storm blew in as we were driving in to the Short North. Not ones to be deterred, we got out some umbrellas and were all set to power through, but we got caught under an awning of a Greek Restaurant under a TORRENTIAL downpour. It was a total bummer, but we decided to make the best of it and get some cocktails until the rain stopped enough to leave. I loved getting to just get to know each other more at the bar.

Luckily, we moved some things around and were still able to do their shoot on a beautiful day during their trip. Alton used to work for Nationwide and lived in the Short North, so I was so excited to hear that these guys had ideas for spots to go. We took pictures at the same cobble stoned street that he used to live on. We wandered around the same restaurants that they used to go on dates. I loved hearing how excited these two were to get married this year. They both are so friendly it feels like you are immediate friends. Stay tuned for their New Years Wedding!

And one picture we captured just before the rain hit. They look cute under an umbrella!
