Amanda & Collin | Jorgensen Farms The Gardens Wedding

Wedding

There are some couples that just stick with you — the kind that feel like friends almost instantly. Amanda and Collin are absolutely those people. From the very first time I met Amanda over coffee, I knew this was going to be special. We bonded immediately over our shared love of cats (which, honestly, is the fastest way to my heart). So when she showed up to their engagement session later on with a giant bag of cat treats just for my kitties, I was done for. That small, thoughtful gesture was such a perfect preview of who Amanda and Collin are: kind, intentional, generous, and constantly thinking of others.

Not only are they completely gorgeous humans, but they have hearts that shine through everything they do. From the handwritten letters they sent before the wedding day (always checking in on the cats 🐾) to the sweetest “I’m editing” candle Amanda gifted me on the wedding day, they were consistently pouring love outward. Being trusted to photograph a couple like this is such a gift.

Their wedding day at Jorgensen Oak Grove at The Gardens was nothing short of magical. I will forever be in love with Jorgensen Farm as a wedding venue — it’s one of the most beautiful and thoughtfully designed wedding spaces in Ohio. We were lucky enough to photograph Amanda and Collin’s engagement session here in the summer, because they wanted to experience the property in a different season before the wedding. That made the contrast of their winter wedding day even more special.

Amanda had one very specific wish for her wedding day: snow. And wow — Ohio absolutely understood the assignment. The week leading up to their wedding brought record‑breaking cold temperatures and over a foot of snow (including a full week of school cancellations). The result? The entire Jorgensen Farm property was transformed into a true winter wonderland. Snow-covered trees, crisp air, and that quiet, magical stillness you only get after a big snowfall — it was breathtaking. Even though it was supposed to feel like -14 degrees that day, we bundled up and ran outside for exactly three minutes to capture photos of just the two of them in the snow. I’m so, so happy we did — those quiet, snowy moments felt just as meaningful as they were beautiful.

Because winter weddings in Ohio always require a little flexibility, we leaned into one of my favorite features of The Gardens: the sun‑filled arboretum. It was the perfect warm, bright space for portraits, complete with live plants growing along the walls — a dreamy contrast to the snowy landscape outside. It allowed us to create timeless, romantic images without ever worrying about the cold.

And then came the celebration — which perfectly reflected Amanda and Collin’s joy‑filled, people‑first hearts. One of the most important things to them was actually being present with their guests. They made time to attend cocktail hour, mingle, laugh, and soak it all in instead of being pulled away. The rest of the night? You could find them on the dance floor the entire time. From start to finish, the energy never dipped — including an unforgettable conga line led by DJ AXCESS, who kept the party going all night long.

Their Jorgensen Oak Grove wedding was full of warmth, connection, and so much joy — the kind of joy that feels effortless and contagious. It was a day that truly reflected who Amanda and Collin are and the kind of life they’re building together: lighthearted, intentional, deeply loving, and centered on community.

Amanda and Collin — I’m so grateful our paths crossed. Photographing your winter wedding at Jorgensen Farm was an absolute honor, and I have no doubt that this joy will follow you for the rest of your lives together.
