Saint Charles Preparatory School Wedding | Emily + Jared

Some weddings feel meant to be from the very beginning, and that was absolutely the case with Emily and Jared. I first met Emily while photographing her sister’s family session, and I’m so grateful fate allowed our paths to cross again for such a special day in her life.

Emily and Jared’s story is one that makes you smile—two physical therapists who connected through their shared love of adventure and soccer. It only seems fitting that Jared chose such an adventurous setting for his proposal: the 3 Dune Challenge along Lake Michigan. From the start, their relationship has been built on encouragement, joy, and a love of doing life side by side.

Their wedding day carried that same spirit. There was laughter spilling over as little nieces and nephews ran around the venue, bringing so much life to the celebration. One of the most heartfelt moments was Emily’s first look with her dad and her three brothers—each reaction filled with pride, love, and a few happy tears.

The day continued with the most thoughtful details, from a beautifully choreographed first dance (yes, they absolutely nailed it!) to the sweetest reception surprise: Graeter’s ice cream for their guests. Every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple—fun-loving, intentional, and surrounded by family and friends who adore them.

Emily and Jared’s wedding was truly a celebration in every sense of the word. It was an honor to witness their beginning as husband and wife, and I cannot wait to see all the adventures life has in store for these two.
