There’s nothing quite like the quiet magic of a newborn session — those first sleepy stretches, tiny fingers curled around mom or dad’s hand, and the peaceful calm that seems to wrap around the whole house. But during this little boy’s newborn session, we had an extra special visitor who ended up stealing the show: his big cat sister.
According to Mom and Dad, she had been keeping her distance ever since they brought baby home. A little unsure, a little cautious — as so many furry siblings are at first. But on this day, something changed.
She slowly wandered into the room while we were setting up, gave us all a once-over, and decided she was in. For the rest of the session, she stayed close — watching over her new little brother, curling up nearby, and even jumping into a few photos like a total natural. It was the sweetest surprise and such a meaningful moment for Mom and Dad to see her welcoming him in her own gentle way.
Watching the family together — baby boy all swaddled and sleepy, parents full of love, and big sister quietly standing guard — felt like a perfect glimpse into their new life. A full heart, a full home.
And yes, the baby was adorable… but I think it’s safe to say his cat sister definitely stole the spotlight (and maybe a few hearts too)
