Jorgensen Farms the Gardens Wedding | Kristen + Colin

Kristen and Colin had the perfect day! Kristen is from New Jersey, but her parents had roots in Columbus. So she actually knew Colin since high school, when she would come visit with her cousin. Now the two of them are lucky enough to live in German Village, and I LOVE how we centered their wedding day around their lives that they have already built together. We started downtown at St. Mary’s, and even got to visit Frank Fetch Park again, where they first got engaged.

You can just tell how kind these two are, and it was perfect to see how all their family and friends were just like them. So much love in the room! I am not ashamed to say that I often get emotional at wedding days, especially since Cody and I became parents. But I don’t think I have ever gotten so emotional during a father/daughter dance as I did this day. Kristen told me early on in the day that she was curious what her first dance would be with her dad. She knew that he was going to do a speech, and that he had picked out a song special to him. When he started talking about how they would watch Beauty and the Beast together when she was little, she gave a little gasp and instincintively KNEW where it was going. Apparently she used to be very worried about her Daddy being taken away just like Belle’s Dad. Well she started crying, and they danced together to Beauty and the Beast, and he bowed to her at the end, and I’m not sure I got good enough photos of it through all the blurry tears.
