Oak Grove Wedding | Nikki and Cole

I first met Nikki and Cole three years ago during our engagement shoot. They were already married, and were planning on just extending their celebration with family and friends to the next year. Little did they know, that with the pandemic that celebration got stretched even longer. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. Something that I loved about their day, was that all the guys and the girls were hanging out together the morning of at Nikki and Cole’s house. There was no trying to keep the groom from seeing the bride, and the guys and girls intermingled and popped popcorn and snuggled up on Nikki and Cole’s dogs. Their pup Fennel (who I met during the engagement shoot) had been joined by a little sibling, named Panda. These two were originally going to walk down the aisle before their parents, but a surprise, pop-up thunderstorm scared them too much.

Normally I am so worried about rain on a wedding day. Nikki and Cole were just so calm and collected, that I actually didn’t know it was going to rain at all right before their ceremony. It ended up being so special; you could hear rolling thunder and the pitter patter of rain on the roof of the green house during the ceremony. And I just love the image of Cole holding the umbrella for Nikki in the pouring rain. See all the beautiful details here!
