When I first met with Amy and Kyle, they told me they wanted to have their wedding at an opera house. I was so intrigued! These two had seen a special on the opera house on Good Day Columbus, and just knew it would be special for their day. And it was such a perfect spot. Guests got to watch the ceremony from the balcony after getting their playbill with Amy and Kyle’s engagement photo on it. Downstairs the space would turn into a reception hall, complete with wood-fired pizza samplers with specialty pizza toppings like macaroni, eggplant, and hot sauce. All of these touches made the day uniquely theirs, and we were so lucky to be part of it.
Some of my favorite moments from the day included a slideshow of past photos from Amy and Kyle’s life, with childhood photos, them meeting in band at Buckeye Valley, spending time with family friends. and culminating in their engagement. I loved how they turned the father and mother dances into opportunities for all fathers and mothers to dance with their children. We ended the night with my first glowstick send-off, as Amy and Kyle left for their honeymoon in Jamaica. It was perfect.
