Huntington Park Engagement | Erika and John

Engagement

I still can’t believe Erika, John and I walked into the empty baseball field for their engagement photos. I knew they were long-time baseball fans, and was so excited to hear that Erika had secured us the ability to take photos in such a unique spot. We skirted the rain during our session, and it felt so surreal to be where all the players hang out.

The best part about our Huntington visit was our tour guide, Joe. He told us how many of the players in the past had gone on to help build up Columbus industries. Many street names you may recognize (Neal, Chittenden) came from players. We also learned about how Cooper stadium was the first to have lights, and opening night was such a big deal that two women gave birth while attending. I could probably go on and on about baseball facts now, but I won’t bore you.

Spending time with Erika and John was even better than the location. As you can see in the photos, they were cracking up the entire time. Erika exudes joy, and you can see how happy John makes her. I can’t wait to document their wedding next year!
