The Boathouse at Confluence Park Wedding | Katie and Nick

Wedding

When I showed up to document Katie and Nick’s day and she showed me her flower crown (and reception crown!), I knew it was going to be a good day. I loved the simplistic style that Katie has, and knew before I even arrived how gorgeous she would be.

These two have the most adorable story. They met in middle school, were high-school sweethearts, and both grew up to become teachers.  When I first sat down them over coffee, Katie just wanted to brag on Nick. She said, ” He is the nicest person in the world. There is never a person more suited to teach, because he genuinely cares about people”. I LOVE it when couples are so opening sweet on each other. You can tell they are the perfect fit, and Nick makes Katie light up.

Some of my favorite moments of the day was watching them wash each other’s feet during the ceremony, the dessert cart that made it seem like we were in Italy, and when Katie switched out her flower crown for a golden one during the reception. We feel so honored that we got to be there to celebrate with you two. Here’s to many happy years together!
