I loved the uniqueness of this wedding. When I first met Kim and Chris, I had a blast hearing about the special touches to their day. They were going to get married at the top of a hill on a beautiful location (with an emu) and geodes would be the highlighting feature. They both love nature, Kim is an environmental advisor, and Chris’s family used to have a store that sold geodes. I can honestly say, I took my favorite “ring shot” ever with one of them. One of her best friends did her bouquet as one of her first wedding arrangements, and it’s so intensely pretty. I love how the day was just fun because it was about what made them happy. Kim’s sister pulled out a giant cardboard cut-out of her cat right before the ceremony and she cried. That cat got to be carried down the aisle, stood next to them as they got married, snuck in some family pictures, and even got to be announced in with the new husband and wife. It was the first time I had heard Radiohead (my favorite band) during the reception and also Sandstorm by dj Tiesto. It was one-of-a-kind and totally them, and we were excited to be there!

Their ceremony was very touching, and they both split open a geode as a unity ceremony. It came out perfectly!
