It was such an honor to be there to capture Katie and Tate’s day! There were many moments throughout the day that just stuck out to me; the beautiful book the bridesmaids had given Katie the night before the wedding, filled to the brim with memories, photos, and notes. The album ended with a long (and beautifully written) note from Tate that was just so honest and loving, watching Katie’s mom tear up during Katie’s first look with her dad, and Tate’s joyful dance with his mom.
They chose to get married at the Vue, and I’m so happy that we finally got the opportunity to shoot there! It fit them perfectly. The industrial space held local columbus artwork and guests got treated to their favorite IPA. They danced to a live band (which definitely makes the whole reception!) and we stopped near the end of the night to have OU and OSU alumni take a group photo. I think that the mood was amazing and their family and friends were having so much fun because they knew that Katie and Tate together are the real deal. It’s hard not to smile when you know two people are supposed to be together.
