Danielle and Rob

When I first met Rob 9 years ago after visiting Danielle at her dorm room, I never would have dreamed that someday I would be photographing the two of them getting married someday. I hadn’t even graduated high school yet, and had no idea that I would be able to have a job I loved as much as this. Even that long ago, I still remember thinking that he was a perfect fit for her. Danielle was my intelligent, quirky friend that I looked up to. She introduced me to new food and music, and always seemed to be dancing. Rob was like Danielle, but more quiet like me. He had very kind eyes and I liked the way that he smiled at her.

I knew the wedding was going to be beautiful. Danielle told me she was going to use all colors and excitedly called me the week before to let me know Rob was going to be wearing a green suit. On the day of, I arrived and I just saw her as a beautiful Frida Kahlo. Perfect. I saw both of their personalities that night. Danielle dancing a non-traditional twist for her Father/Daughter dance. Rob pausing to pull aside vendors or make phone calls so that he could make sure they knew he appreciated their hard work. Maybe if I went back 9 years ago, I could see that this is how it would all end up. With just the way he looked at her.

I loved the crowning part of their ceremony. The best man speech/song was amazing.
