Ellie and Christian

Oh my, I was so excited when Ellie told me that they wanted to have their engagement pictures taken at the Park of Roses. We had initially planned on doing their session in an earlier month, but had to reschedule. Thank goodness we did, because the roses were in full bloom!

I like this couple very much. Not many people can pull off looking cool and happy in 90 degree weather, but you can’t tell how hot it was because they were having so much fun. Christian towers over Ellie, and we joked about how intimidating he looks to people sometimes. He is the opposite of intimidating and was so sweet to her throughout the session. He kept whispering things to make her laugh, and I love that a lot of the smiles in these pictures were actually deep belly-laughs. We can’t wait for their summer wedding!

Christian and Ellie had LOTS of observers throughout the shoot. Closer to the roses they had a group of about 15 clapping and cheering for them. Then this pup kept running back to try to get in pictures
